Engaging with providers, hosts and workers across regional Victoria – LHA engagement activities in May

The Labour Hire Authority (LHA) program of industry engagement continues in May with regional information sessions and an opportunity to network with regional businesses at the Ballarat Business Day Out.

In April, LHA met with the Victorian Disability Worker Commission (VDWC) to discuss how labour hire is used in the disability sector.

Collaborating with agencies like the VDWC enriches LHA’s understanding of the risk of exploitation across diverse workers and industry areas.

Upcoming activities

Labour hire providers and hosts can now register to attend the following upcoming LHA information sessions:

Key topics of these sessions include:

  • Business obligations under Victorian labour hire law
  • Current focus of labour hire licensing, compliance and enforcement
  • Tools and resources to support businesses
  • Questions and answers

Details and registrations for all upcoming information sessions are available via the Events page on the LHA website.

Business Day Out

LHA will be attending the Business Day Out in Ballarat on 29 May 2024 to provide information and answer questions from labour hire hosts and providers.

The event’s half-day program features a variety of keynote speakers and the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals from across regional Victoria throughout the afternoon.

For more information and to register visit the Commerce Ballarat website.

Hort Connections Expo

LHA will have a booth at the Hort Connections expo from 4-5 June 2024 at the Melbourne Convention Centre.
