Care Expo and upcoming regional information sessions

The Labour Hire Authority (LHA) program of industry engagement continues, with tailored information sessions for the manufacturing and aged care industries, as well as an advanced webinar for providers and hosts.

LHA exhibited at the Care Expo Melbourne on 30-31 August at the Melbourne Showgrounds.

The exhibition saw thousands of attendees and approximately 100 stallholders across two days. The event provided the opportunity to speak to business owners and stakeholders, with 116 people visiting the LHA booth to ask questions and discuss the scheme.

LHA staff fielded a range of questions around licensing obligations, the risk of worker exploitation in the industry and LHA enforcement actions against unlicensed providers.

LHA participates in various events and activities to raise awareness, educate hosts and providers, and establish relationships with key stakeholders.

If you have an upcoming event or idea to help LHA raise awareness, contact the LHA engagement team at communications@labourhireauthority.vic.gov.au
