MegaTrans expo and regional information sessions – Recent and upcoming LHA engagement activities
3 October 2024The Labour Hire Authority (LHA) program of industry engagement continues, with tailored information sessions for the manufacturing and aged care industries, as well as regional information sessions for providers and hosts.
LHA exhibited at the MegaTrans expo on 18-19 September at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The exhibition saw thousands of attendees and almost a hundred exhibitors from across the transport industry. The event provided the opportunity to speak to providers, hosts, workers and stakeholders from a range of backgrounds and business types.
LHA staff fielded a range of questions, including around licensing obligations, the risk of worker exploitation within the transport industry, and how hosts can effectively ensure they’re only using licensed labour hire providers.
LHA participates in various events and activities to raise awareness, educate hosts and providers, and establish relationships with key stakeholders.
