Welcome to the March 2024 edition of LHA News

Welcome to the March 2024 edition of LHA News.

We know that the first step towards complying with legal obligations is understanding them – that’s why we invest in supporting businesses with clear and accurate information.

In just the past 12 months, we’ve held 100 information sessions around Victoria, upgraded the LHA website and online tools so they’re clearer and faster to use, and published a range of new resources.

As a result, it’s now easier than ever to do your part as a business to protect labour hire workers and improve the integrity and transparency of the industry.

Reading this newsletter is a good step – each month’s LHA News includes information and guidance to support understanding and compliance, along with stories about recent LHA compliance activities.

So, read on in this edition to learn about the need to for accuracy in annual reporting to LHA, a note on unpaid trials of potential workers, and new criminal sanctions for migrant worker exploitation.

This month, we also cover the importance of getting high-quality business advice – the wrong information can sometimes have major consequences for you and your business.

We hope you enjoy this month’s LHA News.
